The Most Popular and Powerful Pokémon in Pokémon UNITE

Pokémon Unite: A Beginner's Guide to the Pokémon MOBA

If you love Pokémon and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games, then you might want to check out Pokémon Unite, a free-to-start game for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. In this game, you can team up with other players from around the world and compete in 5v5 matches using your favorite Pokémon. Whether you are new to the genre or a seasoned veteran, this guide will help you get started with the basics of Pokémon Unite.

How to Play Pokémon Unite

Pokémon Unite is a game that combines fast-paced action and strategic teamwork. The main objective of the game is to score more points than the opposing team within the allotted time. To score points, you need to collect Aeos energy by defeating wild Pokémon or enemy players, and then dunk it into the enemy team's goal zones. You also need to protect your own goal zones from being scored on by the enemy team.

Each match lasts for 10 minutes, and each team consists of five players. You can choose from a roster of over 20 playable Pokémon, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, abilities, and roles. You can also customize your Pokémon with items, moves, holowear, and more.

Choosing Your Pokémon

Roles and Battle Types

One of the first things you need to consider when choosing your Pokémon is their role. There are five roles in Pokémon Unite:

  • Attacker: These are Pokémon that have low endurance but excel at dealing heavy ranged damage to opponents.

  • Defender: These are Pokémon that have high endurance and excel at protecting [assistant](#continue) their allies and goals from enemies.

  • Speedster: These are Pokémon that have high mobility and excel at making quick attacks and scoring points.

  • All-Rounder: These are Pokémon that have balanced offense and defense and excel at adapting to different situations.

  • Supporter: These are Pokémon that have various ways of supporting their allies, such as healing, buffing, or debuffing.

Another thing you need to consider is the battle type of your Pokémon. There are three battle types in Pokémon Unite:

  • Melee: These are Pokémon that fight at close range and can deal damage to multiple targets at once.

  • Ranged: These are Pokémon that fight at a distance and can deal damage to single targets or areas.

  • AoE (Area of Effect): These are Pokémon that have moves that affect a large area and can hit multiple targets at once.

The role and battle type of your Pokémon will determine how you play them and how they synergize with your team. You should try to balance your team composition with different roles and battle types to have an advantage over the enemy team.

Pokémon Roster and Tier List

Pokémon Unite has a diverse roster of over 20 playable Pokémon, each with their own unique characteristics and abilities. You can see the full list of Pokémon and their stats on the official website or on various fan-made websites. Some Pokémon are more popular or effective than others, depending on the current meta (the most optimal way of playing the game). You can also check out some tier lists that rank the Pokémon based on their performance in different modes and maps . However, keep in mind that tier lists are not definitive and may change over time. The best way to find out which Pokémon suit your playstyle and preferences is to try them out yourself.

How to Unlock More Pokémon

When you start playing Pokémon Unite, you will have access to a few Pokémon for free. You can also unlock more Pokémon by completing tutorials, missions, events, or seasons. However, if you want to get more Pokémon faster, you will need to use some in-game currency or real money. There are two types of in-game currency in Pokémon Unite: Aeos Coins and Aeos Gems. Aeos Coins are earned by playing matches, while Aeos Gems are purchased with real money. You can use either currency to buy Pokémon licenses from the shop, which will allow you to use them in matches. The prices of Pokémon licenses vary depending on the difficulty level of the Pokémon, ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 Aeos Coins or 345 to 575 Aeos Gems. You can also get some discounts or bonuses by buying bundles or using coupons.

Customizing Your Pokémon

Held Items and Battle Items

One of the ways you can customize your Pokémon is by equipping them with items. There are two types of items in Pokémon Unite: Held Items and Battle Items. Held Items are items that boost your Pokémon's stats or provide passive effects during matches. You can equip up to three Held Items per Pokémon, and you can upgrade them using Item Enhancers to increase their effects. You can obtain Held Items by buying them from the shop using Aeos Coins or Aeos Tickets (another type of in-game currency earned by playing matches or events). Some examples of Held Items are Muscle Band (increases basic attack damage), Shell Bell (restores HP when hitting with moves), and Focus Band (restores HP when HP is low).

Battle Items are items that provide active effects during matches. You can only equip one Battle Item per Pokémon, and you can use it once every few seconds by pressing a button. You can obtain Battle Items by leveling up your trainer level (your overall progress in the game) or by buying them from the shop using Aeos Coins or Aeos Tickets. Some examples of Battle Items are Potion (restores HP), Eject Button (teleports you to a nearby location), and X Attack (increases attack for a short time).

Moves and Unite Moves

Another way you can customize your Pokémon is by choosing their moves. Moves are skills that your Pokémon can use in battle to deal damage, heal, crowd control, or support. Each Pokémon has four moves: two basic moves, one special move, and one Unite move. Basic moves are used by pressing the A button (or tapping the screen on mobile devices), while special moves are used by pressing the ZL or ZR buttons (or swiping the screen on mobile devices). Unite moves are used by pressing the ZL and ZR buttons together (or tapping the Unite move icon on mobile devices).

Basic moves are available from the start of the match, while special moves and Unite moves are unlocked as you level up your Pokémon during the match. You can level up your Pokémon by defeating wild Pokémon or enemy players and gaining experience points. As you level up, you can also choose to upgrade your basic moves to different versions with different effects. For example, Pikachu can choose between Electro Ball (a single-target move that slows down the enemy) or Thunder Shock (an area-of-effect move that paralyzes the enemy) at level 4, and between Volt Tackle (a dash move that damages enemies along the way) or Thunderbolt (a powerful move that stuns enemies in a large area) at level 6.

Unite moves are the ultimate moves of your Pokémon, and they can only be used once every few minutes. Unite moves have various effects depending on your Pokémon, such as dealing massive damage, healing allies, transforming, or summoning other Pokémon. Unite moves can also change the tide of the battle, so you should use them wisely and strategically.

Holowear and Trainer Fashion

If you want to make your Pokémon and trainer look more stylish, you can also customize them with holowear and trainer fashion. Holowear are outfits that change the appearance of your Pokémon, while trainer fashion are outfits that change the appea
